Set on the beautiful Xcalacoco Beach, this welcoming boutique property offers an alternative to the larger resorts that this stretch of coast is famous for. What it lacks in size it makes up for in charm with thatched buildings set throughout the grounds. The hotel is also home to a small spa – which provides treatments such as a chocolate wrap, a herbal press and a four hands massage – as well as a large pool.

The hotel’s à la carte Merlot Restaurant overlooks the pool and serves a wide range of national and international dishes. Dining here does not have to be restricted to the restaurant; special occasions may call for a romantic dinner on the beach or in your room.

There are just 28 rooms, suites and villas here, making this the smallest of our featured Riviera Maya resorts. Each air-conditioned room has a balcony or terrace and a rain shower in the bathroom. The Gardenview Rooms overlook the resort’s palapa roofs and palm-dotted gardens while the ground floor Private Garden Rooms are ideal for families, with access to a private garden, complete with hammock, from the room’s terrace. The Master Oceanview Rooms are located on the top floor and have views of the resort toward the Caribbean Sea. Treat yourself to a Beachfront Villa which is located just steps from the beach.
