If Turkey doesn’t appeal then why not try north Africa? Egypt is the best known of the northern African holiday destinations, however Tunisia and Morocco also offer stunning beaches and year round sunshine. Avoiding the euro zone also gives you the opportunity to travel to a long haul destination. Thailand and Malaysia offer the holiday of a lifetime and in a recent study have shown to be 43% cheaper than Spanish resorts when paying for food, drinks and other essential items.

Of course you could decide that you would still like to travel to a country within the euro zone. Flights to euro zone counties remain very competitivly priced whilst many of the destinations have been favourites with British tourists for years. You can still avoid paying over the odds.
